Family Session: Fort Stamford
There is a small park in northern Stamford that doesn't look like much from the road. In fact you could easily drive right by without even noticing it. For this family session, we decided to have a look and explore. There was a beautiful landscaped garden - almost a mini version of what you might find at a castle with many different paths. Bench upon bench and column upon column. When I got home I did a little research, and it turns out this park is named Fort Stamford, and there are archaeological remnants of "earthworks" (big soil piles made for defense) from the Revolutionary War!
The fall was unseasonably warm and the colorful leaves seemed to last forever. Olivia bounded about the park exploring every corner and stopped to smell every single flower. If only we all had her energy and appreciation for what's around us!
